Patients in Massachusetts will continue to have access to prescription drug discount programs until 2023!
In 2012, Massachusetts became the final state in the nation to enact legislation allowing patients to redeem prescription drug discount coupons at pharmacies to reduce co-pay costs. The law was scheduled to sunset in 2021 but lawmakers extended it to 2023 in the final budget proposal, which has just been signed into law by Governor Charlie Baker.
Thank you to all of you who reached out to lawmakers to let them know how important these co-pay assistance programs are to patients across the Commonwealth.
Have a healthy and happy holiday season!
